Dark, dark brown with a creamy light tan head. Aromas of coffee and sweet fruit. Medium carbonation. Tastes of bitter chocolate, slight smokiness, a very vague cherry-like fruitiness, and some coffee and roasted flavors. Not very complex. Tasty but not outstanding.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped with 3414-091212. Sampled on January 20, 2014 and I have to think it is well past its expiration date.
The pour is dark brown with a short-lived tan colored head. Great color.
The aroma is of dark malts, smoke, butter, and earthy hops.
The body is in the medium range with a creamy texture.
The taste is much like the aroma with a decent dark malt forward character, mild sweetness, burnt barley, and a fairly mild hop finale. A pretty well balanced Porter that is easy to drink.
