S - malts, oats, toasted grains, chocolate, a bit of a boozey wine smell
T - pretty much dead on with smell
M - thick and creamy, nice amount of fizz rising from the bottom
O - well, i had a few of these, and apparently some other beers and shots of whiskey this night. went off of notes. played a show, can't remember shit. i gotta say, it was a hell of a way to start off my night!

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped with 3414-091212. Sampled on January 20, 2014 and I have to think it is well past its expiration date.
The pour is dark brown with a short-lived tan colored head. Great color.
The aroma is of dark malts, smoke, butter, and earthy hops.
The body is in the medium range with a creamy texture.
The taste is much like the aroma with a decent dark malt forward character, mild sweetness, burnt barley, and a fairly mild hop finale. A pretty well balanced Porter that is easy to drink.
