It pours a clear, coppery amber, nice carbonated, and topped by a finger of thick white head that settles to a pad of thin froth. Lacing is plentiful and graciously adherent.

The aroma starts with toasted malt with a touch of biscuit, but the hops, while dry and citrus, carry a bright, metallic edge that's slightly off-putting. As well, a floral note is too perfumey to be complimentary.

Upon tasting, the malt is more assertive here, as a mild berry sweetness joins the biscuit element to round out an earthy duo. The hops are more poignant here as well, with a return of the grapefruit dryness along with a lemony hint. There's a drop-off from there, though, that leaves a vague and sugarless bitterness that doesn't do much to promise any kind of fetching finish, which is mostly the case. It's got some strengths, but it's got some holes too.

Light bodied, it sticks and jabs along the palate with a smooth flow and a short memory.

Well, the fact I popped this open right about the time the Eagles got to Big Ben for the fifth time makes it automatically more savorable, but while better than average, it's nothing to celebrate either. With so many good, and damned good, APA's out there, the closer to mediocre they get, the more forgettable they are. Yes, it goes down easily enough, but with so many more out there that will refresh as well or better, and taste better as a bonus, I'm not sure this is the way for me to go. Nice try, guys, but I went someplace else for Ben's sixth sack.

Golden pour with medium sized head. Strong carbonation. Strong pine and pretty one dimensional pale ale, without a lot of malt backbone to give it much body. One of my first craft beers back in college, and overall enjoyed this as a cheap craft. Mediocre at best, but worth trying.

A - orangish amber with a thin lacing of white head that fades quickly

S -very malty and bready with some faint citrus notes

T - huge bready malt with some apple-like sweetness; very faint citrusy notes from the hops

M - medium bodied, smooth, well carbonated

This is a malt bomb. It's one-dimensional and ultimately boring. It's drinkable and unoffensive, but I wouldn't have this again.
