Pours a nice 2 finger head with good retention and an orange color.
Smell is of cascades. They have a nice citrusy spicy note. This beer is singly hopped with them and I think that a centennial balance would benefit. The cascades go well with the pale malting though, but it's not my favorite smell. It makes the beer a tad one dimensional.
Taste is of pale malts with a spicy citrusy/grapefruit zest. The grapefruit really takes over on this one. It's really quite nice with the pale malts. There are a lot of late addition cascades in this one. I'd like more bitterness and a little less flavoring cascades on a pale. It'd be nice for a bigger beer though.
This is one grapefruit bomb from the cascades. It's really drinkable. It's crisp and clean and refreshing. I'd like a little bit more ibu bitterness to balance, but I still like this one.

Golden pour with medium sized head. Strong carbonation. Strong pine and pretty one dimensional pale ale, without a lot of malt backbone to give it much body. One of my first craft beers back in college, and overall enjoyed this as a cheap craft. Mediocre at best, but worth trying.
