12 oz bottle, poured into a pint glass
Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy, golden-copper, amber color with a quarter of a finger of white head that quickly dissolved into a thin halo of foam that gripped the sides of the glass and formed wispy clouds that partially covered the top of the beer.
Aroma: Very malty and bready, like most Oktoberfest veers, but slightly musty too, but in a good way, like crushed grapes. I get notes of freshly toasted raisin bread, salted butter, black pepper and floral notes of clover and honey.
Taste: Very malty up front, but quickly followed by a higher hops flavor than other Oktoberfest beers that I’ve had. The beer is actually much more hops forward than I’m used to in Oktoberfest beers, but not at all, unpleasant; rather, tasty in fact.
Mouthfeel: Medium, with a really good amount of carbonation to not only tickle the taste buds, but wake them the hell up! With an ABV of only 4.8%, there is absolutely no presence of alcohol on the palate.
Overall: Another very solid Oktoberfest beer from an American brewery. Very tasty and actually a little more unique than other Oktoberfest beers in that it’s much more hops forward in flavor. This is another beer to add to my Oktoberfest rotation.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Pours light amber, and with light white sticky foam. Malt nose, but small, some caramel. Bready. All Malt taste. Varied sweetness, but held in check by a subtle hop. Not much of a story to tell here. Simple but good. Sessionable.

A- light orange fall color. Minimal head and lacks the lacing I like.
S- bready raisin nose but comes out very light in aroma. Maybe a musty pepper smell as well.
F- breaded raisin malts. Not much else maybe the pepper but it is faint.
M- light bodied vinegar malt.
O- Not bad but not good. an average Oktoberfest and worth trying but not worth buying a sixer.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellowish amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short off white head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass and some wispy patches of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderately strong aromas of earthy hops and toasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and also has some hints of floral and spicy hops. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I liked this beer because the combination of hops and malts made it taste like an authentic Oktoberfest from Germany. It was quite easy to drink because it wasn't too malty or heavy on the palate.

On draft at the brewery.
Poured a medium copper hue with a wispy white cap. There was decent retention and lacing.
The smell featured light earthy caramel malt with an herbal hop spice.
The taste consisted of caramel, a leafy hop spice and an earthy nuttiness.
The mouthfeel was typical of the style.
Overall a tasty lager.
