A : cool label. Very Vermont. Pours a slightly hazy orange/deep gold. Very thin and fizzy white head that disappears very quickly.
S: wow, all citrus. Guava, lemon, grapefruit and a little bit of booze. Reminiscent of lime zest. Vibrant and delicious smelling.
T : starts right away with big bold hop flavor. Lots of fresh squeezed juice sits on the front tip of the tongue. Tons of lime and guava, with mild grapefruit. Very very bold. Bitterness sits in the middle. It's zingy and mildly piney, with a massive tail of sweet neutral malt and honey. Finish is of leaves and grass, more citrus. The end is almost like a natural lemon soda. Absolutely fantastic in every way.
M : here's the odd part. Really slick and almost oily. Weird that it almost seems under carbonated. It's not bad or off putting, just different. Easy drinking for 8.5 and pleasantly medium bodied
A fantastic beer made by 2 great brewers. So bold!I really hope this isn't a one and done. Really great stuff! So glad I got to try it!

First of all, outstanding beer. This was my first time having it, and I told my girlfriend immediately that it might be one of my favorite IPAs.
It pours a murky orange color. I always tilt pour, so "heads" don't exist for me. This has a very unique hop bitterness to it. Like a tangy zest rather than a harsh bite. It reminded me of a milder ENjoy By.
Very smooth drinking. Solid quality from smell, to sip, to swallow. Very enjoyable and highly recommended

12 ounce bottle, w/o freshness info
Pours clouded lighter amber, moderate light khaki head, that leaves scattered bits and some fields of lacing.
Pungent and fresh smelling hopped up nose.
Densely flavorful and fully hopped brew. Hops are minty, earthy and citric.
Super easy drinking and hugely enjoyable. Something about certain IPA's from Vermont and the hop characteristics that are achieved. Well done. Hope to see more of this distributed to my local spots

As a big fan of Lawson's and one who enjoys Otter Creek's offerings as a solid mid-size well distributed beer, I was very excited to try this. Picked up a four pack in SVT and poured into a tulip. I've had many of Lawson's offerings and was curious how this might stack up.
Color is beautiful. Copper and glowing orange. Nice head and lacing. Not as hazy as other VT DIPAs. The color is what you'd expect from Mr Lawson.
The nose is very fine. I would say it is similar to Double Sunshine with a little less tropical fruity smell, more grassy and a bit more alcohol nose to it (it is a higher alcohol DIPA). You're not getting the amazing nose like Topper or Farmstead stuff, but nonetheless this is very good.
A very smooth and sweet taste with lots of layered hop flavors. There is a lot going on here. The mix of yeasts is evident. Yup, winner here. This is a fine brew.
After the color, smell, and taste, I find many similarities with Double Sunshine. It is very close to it - its got like 90% of DS's qualities. Not as good, but close. This beer might be a touch better if it were at the standard 8%. I find it just a bit on the boozy side. This is without a doubt worth picking up. If I were to stack this up with Lawson's IPA-ish offerings, it would be in the top 3. A fantastic brew!
