The only liquor store in Avon, however it is one of the better stores on the westside of Indy as it carries a decent selection of craft brew. You won't find many spectacular beers here, however they do get some good seasonal beers (KBS, Hopslam, etc), Saying that I did have one great beer find there finding a Rare BCS. This is my go to place for Bells, Stone, SN, and the like.I've never had any issues with the products I buy there, but being in a smaller market you can tell that there are some beers that have been there for awhile.Staff has always been friendly to me and will talk beer, whisky, whatever with you.

6/17/11- Edited after actually looking around and realizing they have some not so hidden shelfs of beer.
From what I've seen, being on the west side of Indy limits the options for finding a good selection of craft beer, but this is one of the better places to go.
Serv: I've been there a few times and the service is hit and miss. Been times where I get the cursory "can I help you" and other times where I'm completely ignored. Manager is great, but some of the other employees are not very friendly.
Sel: I must have not been paying attention the 1st couple times through... small selection in coolers, but better selection on the shelves. They have most of the regular locals and regionals you'll find in a good liquor store in central indiana. Good selection of belgians too. Probably the best place on the west side along with Toddy 1 & 2 in Brownsburg.
$$$: Seems to be on par with most places, maybe a bit more.
Overall it's an okay place if you want something that you can't find at the grocery store, or if you already know they have something, but I wouldn't go here in search of rarer items (call 1st)

It's the only liquor store in Avon. The selection is better than your average liquor store on the west side of Indy. The prices are a little higher but can't complain since I don't have to drive far. They always stock Ommegang, one of my favorites, so that makes me happy. They also have been having beer samplings on Friday nights, that's a plus. I always end up spending tons of time there trying to decide. They carry a decent selection of micro's in the cooler and warm. All in all a good shop. Maybe not worth a special trip but a definite stop if you are in the area.

Crown had a very nice selection of craft/import beers. Out of two coolers that lined different walls, one of them had macros and the other held the craft/imports.
Most Indiana brewers were present, Dogfish Head, Avery, and many, many others. Scotland, England, Ireland, Germany, Japan, China, France, Beglium, and other countries were covered, too.
The store is easy to pass up, but very brightly lit inside and quite clean.
The service was horrible, though. I got there at shift change and the two people working (one leaving and one starting) were too busy talking to help me out. The guy who was left when I went to check out was rude about answering my question (about whether they had a public restroom or not) and was as congenial as a dead fish when he rang up my Wabash Cannonball Porter and Flying Dog Garde Dog.
Prices were comparable to other stores in the area.

This is a big place. Very tall ceiling two big walls of coolers. The one on the cashier side has most of the craft brews and single bottles most notably DFH 60 and 90 minute IPA for 11.99 for a 4 pack. The last row of warm stuff is all craft brew as well, with stuff like, Avery, Flying Dog, Samuel Smith, Rogue, 3 Floyds, Stone. They have the Stone 11 anniversary and the 3 Floyds 10 anniversary. Service was so so but it was a Friday night. This time of year they had some Flying Dog, Samuel Adams, and Spatten Octoberfest. The prices seemed a bit high especially on the Samuel Smith 4 pks. About 2 bucks more then Ive seen it other places.

Crown Liquors caters more to clientelle that enjoy light american lager type beer, however they have a number of micros in the cooler from the surrounding area (Goose Island, Bell's, Great Lakes, Oaken Barrell) and more. The good news is the prices were reasonable. I've shopped at other stores in the area before, and it seems you pay at least $1 more per sixer for the selection available. I needed two cases of Bell's Porter to bring back to Texas, and they didn't have enough in the store, but ordered it for me, and called me a few days later to say it was in. Fast, friendly service, and a nice selection. Can't ask for much more than that.
