headache in a can! this is pretty bad, but not the worst on the shelves here in sarajevo. it pours a brassy yellow color with a decent white head and some rising carbonation, although i usually drink this one right from the half liter can. smells like the same standard euro lager garbage ive been reviewing on here all summer, old spent grain, stale bread, and aluminum can. flavor is about the same, although it definitely has a lot more malt heaviness than some of its peers, which i generally find myself appreciating. other than that its about the same, gross metallic aftertaste. mouthfeel isnt too bad, good carbonation and approaching a medium body. overall a pretty brutal can of beer, summed up well by the previous reviewer as a brew for students and alcoholics. i might be both, so thats okay for now i guess. also not totally sure this is hungarian, i see serbia written on the can and think it may be brewed in a variety of locales. someone clarify?

Pours a clear golden color. A modest fizzy head instantaneously disappears.
Malt forward aromas are sweet and also suggest corn. (DMS?)
Sweet malt forward flavor that is caramel like. A modest hops spice tempers things somewhat, but barely. Too sweet.
Somewhere in between medium to light bodied but with not much life to it. Moderate carbonation.
This was a pretty weak Euro Lager. I drank about 3/4 of it and then decided “why bother?”

Brief notes from a 500ml can purchased at a supermarket:

A: Occupies almost the entire glass, suggesting overcarbonation. White frothy cap takes ~10 minutes to fully recede. Body is a clear yellow-copper of poor vibrance.

Sm: Vegetal. Neutral (pilsner?) malts. No real hop or yeast presence whatsoever.

T: Follows the aroma. Simple, unbalanced, mediocre. A bit too sweet.

Mf: Smooth, wet, light-bodied, unrefreshing, overcarbonated. This mouthfeel has little to do with the taste; there's no harmony of the two.

O: As generic as they come, but not awful. To its credit, it isn't watery, metallic, or diacetly-ridden, and it's drinkable & cheap. Students rejoice - this is merely below average and won't break the bank. I also want to point out the branding - it isn't called merely "Pivo" or "Beer," making it easier to find the origins of online. The failed attempt at appearing Germanic is indeed odd, but it's pleasant enough - unremarkable though it may be.

C- (2.57) / BELOW AVERAGE

This is one of those that is made for students, alcoholics and homeless people.

A-Very pale colour, almost yellow tinted water. Virtually zero head.
S-Citrus,hops and acid skunk.
T-Very carbonated at first, but after that, hops and sorrow taste, nothing special. Also there is average abv,but neverless,i had one can,and still my head is like i drunk 4 or 5. Maybe i was tired, but not that tired for sure.

All in all,i am not student any more..
