Appearance: This beer pours with a nice copper hue and has a nice cloudy background due to the yeast. There is a steady stream of bubbles that produces a layer of thick foam.
Smell: The beer smells of fresh cut grass and citrus. In addition there are nice yeast and sour aromas to this beer.
Taste: This beer tastes of fresh sourdough and yeast. In all, this beer packs plenty of flavor in every sip. In addition, the malts are prominent and liven up the yeast.
Mouthfeel: Medium body
Overall: This is a delightful beer. Drink it if you can find it.

Right off the bat...LOVE THIS BEER. I can only find it two places in Baltimore: Max's Taphouse and Racer's Cafe. Absolutley delicious.
By the way, its more of a blonde ale than a belgium strong dark.
Appearance is pretty average. Bright white Head fizzes up quickly than before you know it, its gone. Barley even clings to the side of the glass on the way down.
Smell is great. Very fresh and crisp, possibly some apples and sugar, maybe figs, everyone else seems to think that, but i never had one, so I don't know.
Taste is phenomenal. Again crisp, clean and fruity. No overpowering alcohol or hoppy bitterness. Swallows clean and leaves me with a hint of lemon flavored apple on the back of the palate.
Mouthfeel: Feels good....but its beer...all beer feels good in my mouth.
Drinkability. If it wasn't so expensive i'd buy it in 30 packs and bathe in tubs filled with it. I drink it often. Honestly, may sound weird but I had it with crabs one day and the Old Bay seasoning brought out something. Don't know if it was the salt or what but wow (made the 90 minute IPA 20 times more amazing as well). Its kinda become my special occasion/ if i can find it beer. Treat yourself to one of these.

Poured from a 330mL bottle into my Troubadour tulip. Best before July, 2011. This batch is 7.5%
Hazy gamboge liquid with amber and gold highlights and a thin ivory head that actively recedes to a barely sustained collar and burbling slick. Very little lacing to speak of.
Fresh ripe apricot, light biscuity malt, champagne grapes, and faintly spicy yeast aromatics. Iron and herbs come out more as the beer warms.
Palate is bursting with orange and a bit of lemon merengue. The citrus is accentuated with a mild yeasty funk, and a sweet butterscotch note (as described, accurately by the importer), but the finish is well balanced. Faint off notes (sourness, and possibly diacetyl?) detract somewhat from the overall profile.
Light bodied, acidic, with very spritzy carbonation.
Surprisingly refreshing and unique, but poor head retention, and a mediocre flavor mean I'll probably avoid this in the future.

11.2 oz bottle at Hopleaf...The beer pours a very dark gold/copper with two fingers of white head. Ok retention, ok lacing...The aroma is SUPER herbal, tons of spices, eucalyptus, weird not enticing. Almost smells like lotion...Taste is much lighter than the aroma thankfully...Totally unique flavor but not at all good or drinkable.

A careful pour to keep the lees behind delivers a clear orange-gold body beneath a thick head of creamy off-white foam.
Flowers, fruit and spice combine in the nose along with a bit of sweetish malt that lends it a mildly note of honey.
The flavor is more spicy than the nose suggests with a good bit of coriander, some clove, and perhaps something more earthy and minty like rosemary. That's followed by some sharp, juicy red fruit across the middle, and then supple, sweetish malt. Malt and spice linger in the finish with a distinct note of anise.
The bitterness is kept in check, yet it's clearly there, stiffly supporting it straight through - and the spiciness and a thin edge of alcohol balance it perfectly. With the changing display of spice and fruit and malt it's also magnificently rounded. Really nicely crafted!
In the mouth it's medium with a dextrinous edge, and a gently caressing bristle of natural carbonation that eventually becomes a bit creamy as it warms.
Surprisingly flavorful and complex, this one's a real treat to enjoy. It's light enough that you could pretty much enjoy it at any time (even on a hot summer's day), yet it's also so flavorful and satiating enough that it doesn't leave you wanting. Absolutely worth trying.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick white head. Aroma is super spicy. I can't identify everything, but definitely some pepper and spicy light fruits. Flavor is definitely more Blonde-Ale like with spices in the finish. Light, sweet, fruity, spicy. An interesting Belgian ale. (On a side note: I am quite impressed by these Belgian microbrews put out by 12% importers--none have failed to impress!)

11.2 oz short fat bottle purchased at DeCicco`s in Ardsley, NY.
The appearance is a lighter golden tone with a two finger white head. La Botteresse Blonde smells of a small amount of flora as well as some sugar. The taste is easy going with a bit of a sharp bite from the alcohol. It is a more complex blonde than most of the mass produced US versions. Mouthfeel is refreshing, it pairs well with chicken and fish dishes. Drinkability is good, a nice beer all in all.

Stubby Belgian style 11.2 ouncer bottle. A & 10 (best before dating?) notched on the side of the label. Pours hazed and yellowy, nice fluffy white head, respectable fingers of lace left behind on the glass. Flowery sweet nose, with whiffs of pepper, coriander and honey. Quite pleasant and respectable BSPA, yeast, spice, fruit, and moderately dry late. I get notes of more pepper, honey, citrus (oranges and lemons), coriander and all things enjoyable. Certainly NO bargain @ $4.49 per bottle(!!). I would go for this one again and again if the price was somewhere closer to normality

Pours a clouded orange yellow with a thin creme head. Nose is dough, funk, spices. Flavor gives a fairly smooth ride. Citrus is there. Earthy sweet tone. Mild funky to it. Definite spices. It's a deeper flavor profile than you might expect. Slick liquid feel. Low carbonation. Pretty easy to drink. A nice ale.

No freshness date. Very pale goden beer with not much head and foam stability.Nose is very refreshing with good hops, citrussy and koreander. Further a very honeylike nose but not much malts there. Taste is also very fresh and dry. Koreander too present though, further again honeytaste, litle sourness and low bitter aftertaste. Alcohol again well hidden but moutfeel is rather empty and no fullness but just refereshing drink. Drinkable especially if you're into the koreander.
