I bought this 1 L growler in northern BC. It has a moderate amount of foamy-creamy, light beige/yellow head with a cloudy gold colour body. There is a light floral aroma with some lemon freshness. The taste is stronger than what the aroma suggests but is not particularly strong. A breadiness and hops bitterness dominate the flavour. There is a light honey flavour. The taste is short-lived giving way to a booziness, even though it is 5%. It has a light-to-medium body and medium-to-high carbonation. Overall, it is a really good pale ale and very drinkable but with the alcohol taste building up in the aftertaste I can only go so far.

Appearance - Pours a clear golden light amber with 1/2 finger width of bubbly head that recedes quickly.

Smell - Grains, grass, hint of lemon and sweet honey aromas.

Taste - Bread/biscuit flavour with a touch of honey sweetness and grassiness. Pretty light in flavour.

Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium bodied with good moderate carbonation. Crisp dry finish on the palate.

Overall - A refreshing English pale ale by Howe Sound. I was hoping for a little more honey flavour, as the name suggests, but it does not take away from the quality of this brew. Easy to drink with excellent thirst-quenching attributes.

From notes...
A - Clear straw, tall white head, lots of bubbles to retain its height
S - Grainy and corn aroma, leafy and herbal hops with light honey
T - Similar to the nose but more grainy and metallic accents
M - Big carbonation, lighly bready and crisp
O - another solid brew from the kings of the big bottle, although they have much better beers that in no way takes away from this, this could easily be a regular sessoin

Cloudy, golden-orange appearance with moderate head that quickly disappears, leaves some lacing. Smell has a strong hint of honey with a hint of grass and malt.

Taste is similar to the smell, strong taste of honey with grass and malt. Bitter with a light taste of hops. Taste is very sweet overall. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Aftertaste is dry with a lingering honey taste.

Overall, this is a refreshing honey beer. Everything blends well together, borderline seasonal beer. Worth a try, especially now that Howe Sound beers are showing up in more liquor stores.

Pale golden straw colour, slightly hazy. Big white soapy head. Fades to a slight cap & ring.

Pale malts, some floral sweet honey.

Biot thin tasting in the very front end. Pale malts are mostly present, with the honey slipping in and out of the picture. Nice withering hop bitterness in the finish.

Light in body, but carbionation works well given the style.

Nice ale. I echo what others say about the honey in it could get tiresome after a coupke of pints, but still a good brew

Appearance: a cloudy, pale golden yellow with medium suspended particles. medium head, slight lace.

Smell: sweet malt and honey, subtle hops with slight earthy grass tones.

Taste: sweet malt with a distinct honey flavor much like the aroma. modest hop notes, with no one aspect overpowering another.

Mouthfeel: medium to light carbonation, light hop, smooth fluid body with a clean, slightly earthy honey finish.

Drinkability: a relaxing honey pale ale. little complexity with no one characteristic overpowering another giving a balanced feel.

i first tasted this ale at the Howe Sound Brewery after hiking the Chief. It was on tap, and the overall experience was very enjoyable. i have since drank this honey ale in bottle form and still enjoy it, however my opinion might be bias based on my first experience.
