Had on tap at Shoreline.
A- Pours a golden amber color. One and a half finger white head shows decent retention. Nice web style streaks on the sides of the glass.
S- Big time citrus hops in the front from the use of all centinnial hops. There is a underlying bready caramel malt base that shines from the middle of the beer on with a hint of citrus hops in the ending. No real alcohol scents in the back...well I take that back once it warms a little you can smell the alcohol. Although it is not very strong.
T- Citrus hops burst first in the front of the beer but not as much as the nose would suggest. The malts in the middle of the aroma show up right after the inital burst of citrus calming this beer down. From the middle all the way to the ending there is a nice balance of bready caramel malts and citrusy centinnial hops. The backend shows a little extra boost of the citrus flavor. Alcohol comes in the very end and kills off most of the caramel malts.
M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Citrus hops and caramel malts are left on the palate. Aftertaste is mostly alcohol and light citrus hops. Flavors were actually balanced quite well in the beer with neither really going over the top. No off flavors at all while drinking this beer. Medium high alcohol drying on the palate.
O- This beer was a nice drinker that I ended up having a couple pints of. The overall flavors were good and left you wanting more for the most part. ABV wasn't know but I could tell it was a little higher than what a mild IPA should be.
