A: Located near the Outlet mall in Michigan City. And yes, NIPSCO power plant is pretty much your backdrop. I think the actual building is fitting and appropriate for the town. On the outskirts of an industrial area that will hopefully pick up, this place is situated in a typical work building. From the outside it might not seem like much, but inside it is very nice. There is a long bar with clear glass behind it to showcase part of the brewing process. Wood paneling is on all the walls. Tall tables are made from barrels and there are separate seating rooms. A stage is also present for entertainment.
Q: I enjoyed the beer I had. I also found the beer menu typical for a brewery. A selection of the major beer styles are available.
S: Great service from the staff. Quick, friendly, and knowledgeable.
S: Could be more extensive, but like mentioned before you can find a beer style you like.
F: I enjoyed the food I had. It was priced fairly.
V: A bit pricey, especially when the brewery doesn't have to worry about many overhead costs. I would suggest bringing beer price down fifteen percent to potentially drive more everyday drinking business.

Nice, open yet cozy atmosphere with an incredible selection of beer from pale ale to stouts and a variety of each. I sat at the inside bar as the outside bar area wasn’t open for the season yet. The staff was friendly, although not terribly attentive. Still, I will definitely come back when in the area.

Not the prettiest place or in the prettiest neighborhood. The wood paneled walls might be going for an old lake cottage or dive bar feel but it wasn't really my thing. Food took forever to come out and when it did it was pretty mediocre, with my limp fries being the most obvious mistake. Beer was decent however with a nice but not overly exciting selection. Service was fine; I would've liked an apology for just how long the food took though. Price for one of the bottles I bought to go was higher than that listed on the menu which always annoys me, especially when it's a menu they clearly have to print up relatively often.

Great little "gem". I love their BA beers that you can purchase to go. Hopefully they stay relatively under the radar so I can continue to stop by EVERY time i'm nearby to buy some BA bottles and enjoy a great meal and a beer.

This place gave me everything I expected when I first walked in the door. A big selection of older styles, all fine but not great. Decent but not fantastic service. Long waits for pretty decent food. A big, soulless restaurant vibe. If you are looking for average everything, this is the place for you!

The requisite interesting old building.
Large enough draft selection, more regulars but a few seasonals/one offs.
Vintage bottles are a tad high, but the market bears it I guess. I still bought the last 2011 Lost Sailor.
Food was excellent. The place was packed on a non-football Sunday afternoon, looked like mostly with people for meals.

Good beer and good food selection. Perhaps a tad pricey for Michigan City.
