Stopped by Shoreline on the way from Chicago into Michigan. I had heard about the place for awhile and wanted to check it out. We arrived when they had just opened for the day. Atmosphere kind of reminded me of a chain restaurant or bar/restaurant you would find a new strip mall. The servers were nice enough but pretty standard service. The beers were ok. Many were not complex or bold. A couple were not were more satisfying. Because I enjoy frequenting microbrews, I would probably stop by again for lunch if I was passing through but none of the beers were so good as to make me go out of my way to stop in. The food seemed decent. The sandwiches most people got seemed ok. I tried the SSLT, which was thin smoked salmon in place of the bacon. As much as I like bacon, the smoked salmon was pretty delicious. Over all, not bad and decent value, but nothing to make it that memorable. (888 characters)

Good beer and good food selection. Perhaps a tad pricey for Michigan City. (74 characters)

Worth a trip if you are around Michigan City. A somewhat small tap list, but you are also able to get vintage series bottles and barrel aged bottles to drink or to go. Food was good and the prices were reasonable. I went for a late lunch and it wasn't crowded, but wasn't dead either. It had a setup for live music, so I imagine it gets going in the evenings. (359 characters)
