A - Pours with a thick viscosity a hazy sunset amber color with a whole lot of sediment. Standard pour brings about a fingers worth of off white head that quickly recedes to a collar, which over the coarse of about 15 minutes dissolves completely.
S - Smell is quite sweet, the initial impression I got was of marshmallow. I also get some graham cracker, caramel, moderate bourbon (not too "in your face", meshes well with the base), vanilla pudding, and some slight astringent alcohol.
T - Definitely a big, sticky, sweet beer. The caramel/marshmallow sweetness hits the front of the tongue and doesn't quit, lingering after each sip. Thankfully the barrel character cuts in and provides some depth; bourbon, sweet tobacco, leather, vanilla, and oak all assert themselves prominently middle of the mouth and into the finish. I wasn't getting much maple character at first, but it really shines as it warms, mostly in the finish.
M - Sticky and full bodied with a low carbonation. Slight heat, but it's the sticky sweetness that really makes this gal a sipper.
O - If you don't like sweet beers, stay away from this one. If I had to describe it to a non-BA, I'd call it an alcoholic s'more, just without the chocolate. A lot of caramel, marshmallow and graham cracker, with well integrated barrel character, but just so damn sweet, it really hurts the brew. A nice beer but not worth $25 (I know, I overpaid for it).

750mL bottle poured into a snifter.
(A)- Pours a clear mahogany amber color. Minimal white froth. Some sediment present.
(S)- Bits of coconut amidst sweet but rich malts. Great maple and bourbon barrel notes.
(T)- The combination of coconut, maple, bourbon, and rich malts gives this a strong resemblance to amaretto(hazelnut) liquor. Finishes with a zesty orange peel and brown sugar sweetness.
(M)- It is quite sweet, though the maple and bourbon oak helps to add complexity. Minimal carbonation, but it fits this beer well. Overall, just very sweet.
(O)- Again, this is very sweet, but complex enough to keep your palate interested and not completely barraged by sugar.
