Great looking beer - slightly hazy golden orange with a big foamy head, looks more like an DIPA - don't know how they managed that with the extensive aging. Aroma is nice - sweet maple, surprising amount of hoppiness, vanilla and caramel - not a lot going on but very nice. Big notes of caramel, toffee, maple syrup, oaky vanilla and coconut and some clean piney hops. Feels like a big beer - boozy warmth, slick medium/full bodied with soft carbonation.

Very impressed - did not expect it to come together so well.

Buddy grabbed me a bottle during it's release. Probably wouldn't have sought it out otherwise, but here we go.

A- Pours an amberish hue with a one finger off white head with a moderate pour. Little lacing goes pretty quick.

S- Bourbon and syrup as the description would lend you to believe. Slight caramel notes as well. Loved smelling all 25 oz of this.

T- Right along with the nose, bourbon and maple syrup. Found it interesting that this didn't have nearly the bourbon presence that The Bruery's White Oak had even though that was only half aged in bourbon barrels. I believe the base for this wheat wine is much chewier and as a result, this thing rules. Little heat on the backend, to be expected with a 12.6% brew. Doesn't hide it much.

M- Slick and oily. Not sure if it's my favorite mouthfeel.

O- Liked this enough I'd certainly pick it up if I saw another on the shelf. I'd like to try it one more time in a year when I think it'll drink smooth as anything.

Poured from a 750 to a champagne glass, because that's what I have right now.

A- A slightly hazy golden color, with a thin white head.

S- Right off the bat is a ton of bourbon, caramel and vanilla. lightly sugary sweet gummy bears dance with a hint of smokey maple. warm sugary butter tiptoes it's way to the finish.

T- Bourbon, caramel and vanilla are the backbone to this beer, and show themselves throughout. Buttered rum comes to mind. A perfect taste for the winter.

M-Moderate carbonation, and a very smooth feel. The booze is definitely present, and is not a bad thing.

O-Excellent brew from one of my favorite breweries. This is a slow drinker, and a perfect winter release. I bought two bottles, and am looking forward to this aged.

A- Pours a golden amber, with a small off-white head that recedes to a ring around the glass. Moderate lacing.

S- Not an intense nose, but sweet caramel and maple bourbon barrel certainly come through, with hints of lighter fruits such as green apple and pear. Reminiscent of a caramel covered green apple.

T- Estery green apple, along with quite a bit of caramel, maple, alcohol and spice on the finish. Minor hints of wood. Certainly a sweet beer on the first part of the sip, but the yeasty spiciness and alcohol on the finish balance it off.

M- Full bodied and oily, with a bit of effervescence from the carbonation. Decently smooth, and a bit of alcohol on the finish.

O- An enjoyable beer. The maple bourbon barrels, while not intense, certainly make the beer. They add a bit more sweetness and create a unique twist to this Wheatwine.
