750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Golden amber. Mostly clear except for the floaties suspended in the beer. Small white head that settles to a thin collar. Some lacing and wisps.

Smell - Wheat and cracker malt. Maple syrup. Oak and bourbon.

Taste - Sweet up front. Oaky immediately. Bourbon. Lots of grainy wheat. Astringent. Very sweet.

Mouthfeel - Viscous and syrupy. Astringent. Medium carbonation.

Overall - It's tasty, but it's super sweet. And a barley wine would have been much tastier than this wheatwine crap.

Served in a chimay chalice

A - pours a light brown, crystal clear, minimal head

S - the barrels come through here - oak, vanilla, maple syrup

T - not overly sweet, vanilla, bourbon, crackery malt

M - smooth, alcohol comes through but not overpowering

O - lots of barrel presence, not over the top, love to have it again. Good way to follow up after the Mango Magnifico bomb

Pours a honey tinged golden with a thinner white head atop, maple really stands out in the nose along with mild toasted oak and like others have noted a bit of butterscotch, quite warming.Maple, vanilla and toast flavors at the onset with some brown sugar and sweet alcohol lingering in the finish,at no point does it become cloying.A big sipper but packed with flavor, you can tell all the time and effort that was put into this.

Poured into a large snifter from a 750ml bottle.

Pours a nice copper orange color. Pretty translucent and bright. There is a nice thin white head that forms that is about a quarter tall.

Aroma starts off with sweet maple syrup notes. Mild notes of charred barrel and some strong boozy sweetness; not the kind that intimidates though. Very nice notes of vanilla and cinnamon in the nose. Some toffee as well. Very much a mixture of boozy bourbon and maple syrup.

The flavor follows the nose and is true to the description of the brew. Taste like maple syrup with some nice boozy heat followed by toffee and slight vanilla notes. Pretty straight forward beer but still delicious.

750mL bottle. Pours a slightly murky burnt orange color with a half inch of white head. Some lacing. The aroma is a big whiff of bourbon upfront with some maple syrup, sweet bread, and oakiness. The taste is sweet and oaky with a big amount of bourbon flavor. A bit earthy with some sweet breadiness and butterscotch. Slight floral notes. Maple syrup sweetness towards the finish with more bourbon hotness. Great alcohol presence throughout that balances nicely with the not overpowering sweetness. Creamy mouthfeel. Overall, fantastic beer that I'd like to try with some age on it, if I ever get the chance.
