Formerly "Big Lushious".

A rich and robust stout serves as the foundation for this decadent dessert beer. Raspberries lend a tart and refreshing sweetness while the addition of dark chocolate takes it to an indulgent level. Big, yet balanced, Big Luscious is perfect for sharing with friends and family. Or you can keep it all to yourself. We won’t tell.

I have no idea where I got a bottle of this beer. It poured an opaque dark with thin tan ring head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had wonderful chocolate Raspberry notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet milk chocolate with Raspberry and mixed berry presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and smoove carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

12oz bottle from Hops and Bottles. Near black pour with small creamy, beige head. Berries first in the aroma, subtle chocolate. Taste comes in like chocolate covered raspberries, sweet, fruity, decadent. Super smooth, creamy. Yes, it's Luscious...

Forgot I had one of these in my cellar, brewed in 2020 and down there ever since.
Still true to form! Poured black with a light brown head that kept going and going.
The aroma was raspberry. That’s what I got. Fair enough, they said they used them.
The taste was: raspberry. Pure, sweet raspberry. Then it settles in and chocolate, not cocoa, chocolate muscles in and makes its presence known. I think I got some roasted malts at some point but won’t swear to it.
The feel was smooth, not viscous per se, but smooth and soft.
Tasty dessert beer, and it’s not even that sweet.

Pours a deep dark brown with a fairly substantial head that dissipates very quickly leaving the faintest of rings around the edge.

The aroma is heavy with fresh sweet raspberry. Chocolate peaks through with a little vanilla as well, but the raspberry takes centre stage.

Taste follows. Raspberry dominates. The chocolate comes though later in the sip. I get a slight cherry note on the finish as well. sweet, but not over the top in a pastry stout kind of way.

The body is fairly light.

This is nice. It goes well with day at home tending to a discontented five year old with conjunctivitis. I tend to shy away from berry stouts. They tend to be hit or miss with me and often the latter. This one is a hit.

Had Big Luscious poured from 12-oz. bottle, label stamped "BOTTLED ON: 10.29.20," into snifter.

Pours absolutely black with 1/2- to 1 & 1/2-finger dark-tan head, with decent retention, leaving some nce, sketchy lace. Mild aroma of raspberry off pour, which grows and continues, over some very mild malt. Begins with a bit of bittersweet chocolate, closely followed by raspberry, which takes over as the chocolate nearly disappears into the creamy mild malt texture, and then sweet raspberry and a bit of chocolate carry into what eventually becomes a mild roasted malt finish, signaling this is in fact a stout.

Not every stout has to be the biggest and baddest, and this one is simply a creamy raspberry chocolate dessert (beer).

One of the most disgusting beers I have ever tasted. I was shocked at how bad this beer tastes when Founders Breakfast Stout is one of my favorites. This stout is way too sickly sweet, way too over flavored with overly cloying raspberry and reminds me of a terrible clone of carbonated Jäegermeister spiked with Chambord and a dash of soy sauce. It stinks. I hate it. It’s the single worst beer I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve tasted Gennessee Cream Ale.
1. Looks great. It’s a stout
2. Smells pleasant enough
3. Tastes like Satan’s toilet scrapings.
4. Feel: I know this means mouthfeel, but it’s hard to tell when you’re literally spitting it out into your kitchen sink.
5. I HATE THIS BEER
Sorry Founder’s, I love you and most of your offerings. The ratings on this beer say differently, but for me, I’ve found my beer Kryptonite.

Thanks to Whyteboar for this one. 12oz bottle (dated 9/29/20) poured into 14oz teku. Poured the expected solid black color with an inch+ of tan head that good retention and very light lacing.

The aroma is a huge blast of chocolate and raspberries, two of my favorite flavors, with just a bit of grain and roast showing through.

Pretty similar on the tongue, with the roast popping through and adding a bit of bite.

The body was perhaps a bit thin for the style, smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish that the roast dried out after a few moments.

Drinkability was very good, one could easily sip down a couple of these.

Overall, a very nice brew. Worth grabbing if you see it.

Big Luscious pours a dark, opaque reddish brown with a lovely 2 inch dark tan head.. gorgeous look! The smell is raspberry-Raspberry-RASPBERRY.. with a chocolate note beneath. The taste is still raspberry prominent, but less so, as the chocolate rises in the mix, and dominates on the aftertaste. I get some malt notes, but this brew is all about the raspberry-chocolate synthesis. Lacing persists throughout the session, and mouthfeel is assertive, without becoming sticky. I am not a huge fan of raspberries.. to me, they have to presented in the right context, suitably ripened, paired with harmonious ingredients, and balanced with chef-like deftness. All of that culminates with tart/sweet indulgence

A beer that lives up to the name. Drank at room temperature, about 11 months old. Still delivers the adjunct flavors well. This one is all about chocolate and raspberries, and while it definitely brings the raspberries, the chocolate may have fallen off a bit. Still very good, better than it has been rated, I think.

Pours a dark brown c color with a small head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of roasted malts and raspberries. Tastes of tart raspberries and black coffee. Not at all sweet. Smooth and creamy.

It’s like a Godiva confection chocolate beer. Sweet, not overly so. Chocolatey. Smooth. A once in a while sweet treat. Smells and tastes of raspberries. And not in a synthetic way. I love all Founders beer, my favorite being the Breakfast Stout, Dirty Bastard, and Porter. This is of the same quality, a smooth, thick mouthfeel, subltle carbonation, dark dark dark.
