This was in a mixed case picked up at North York Beverage in York, PA - Around $45.00.
Look: This was a hazy reddish-copper brew with a thin beige lace for the head. Carbonation bubbles continually streamed upward.
Smell: A sweet hop nectar with earthy pumpernickel and some onion skin.
Taste: First were prominent hop notes of grapefruit and onion. Then the palate was cleansed with a nice coating of bitterness and then the grapefruit returned to form the finish. A rye grain smoothness was noticeable throughout each sip - a nice touch.
This one was a winner.
