Appearance
This ale poured a hazy ruby amber with a decent light tan coloured head. Its finely carbonated, and thin and elegant lacings are present.

Aroma
Grapefruit hops, caramel, rye, and an earthy spiciness.

Taste
Yum yum yum. Gotta say i love rye. Think my first drink ever was a shot of cheap rye whiskey my dad gave us kids when my mom was away visiting her folks or something. Was probably ten or so at the time. Its been one of my favorite grains ever since. Nice blend of caramel malts, rye graininess and grapefruit and peppery hops.

Mouthfeel
Wonderfully balanced medium bodied ale. Nice balance between the malts and the almost chewy rye graininess, as well as as the hops, which add a prominent grapefruit resiny character, as well as a more subtle earthy peppery spiciness.

Drinkability
This is one tasty beer, and a must try for those who like things with rye, like beer, whiskey, or bread. Would make a great session brew on a cooler night when a bigger brew is needed, would also make a great crossover brew for someone who likes rye and can handle a little hops. Ill be drinking this one again soon.

Bottled 08/13/13 at 50 degrees into regular pint glass
Aroma of pine and rye
Head average (3 cm), creamy, off white, slowly diminishing
Lacing good, multiple rings > 1 cm wide with mostly small bubbles
Body medium amber, clear
Flavor begins spicy with a hint of hop pineness, slowly fades to a slight bitterness; no alcohol, no malt, no diacetyl.
Palate medium, slightly oily, carbonation soft.

Evan though this is 8 months old, it is still flavorable, with the rye predominating. The reduced presence of hops could be because of the age of the beer.
