A: Pours cloudy copper with a thin film of white head that quickly dissipated. Minimal lacing.
S: Big kick in the nose of sweet floral and fruity hop aromas. Light undertones of breadiness... must be the rye.
T: Same hop flavors re-assert themselves, sweet floral and fruity hops with a big caramelly malt background. Despite clocking in at 70 IBUs the bitterness is very minimal, showing up in the finish along with some earthy rye flavor. I was surprised the Rye flavors were not more pronounced--you could've fooled me and told me this was all barley. But the flavor is still excellent.
M: Smooth and light, a very crisp beer that I could drink fast. Average carbonation.
Another treat from founders. I think I already prefer it to their standard IPA and it's at least on a par with Double Trouble.
