Served in a snifter glass.
Appearance: Somewhat of a dark amber, slightly hazy body with an off-white head rising to about 1/4" off the body.
Smell: Smelling this beer is almost like tasting it, it is distinct not to mention how strong the smell is. I smell light alcohol with hint of (butter)scotch and a light feel of caramel. It lingers in your nose and in reality it doesn't want to leave.
Taste: If it weren't for the overwhelming alcohol, this beer would be a notch higher, I feel scotch which is incredible by the way plus a little sweet with pieces of caramel.
Mouth: Besides being potent, it is tasteful. Literally tickles your mouth. Medium carbonation, that comes off a notch light might be just right for the strong beer connoisseur.
Overall: It is a hard beer to review, I really like have come to a point in my life that I think in actuality that I love it.. It is very good but you can't drink this back to back... yes the alcohol is strong but this flavorful stuff. In a way better than you think, I picked up the last four-pack at the beer spot around my way and honestly looking forward to the next three.. Salud!

A-a ruby caramel color with a thin layer of cream head that disappears quickly to leave a layer of lace
S-caramel and toffee, rum soaked raisins, the hops become more present as the beer warms. Big pine and citrus presence.
T-much more hops in the taste than the smell. Caramel malt, raisins and pine and citrus hop bitterness. I can't believe this is 12%...
M-full body, reminds me a bit of a barleywine, light to moderate carbonation, pretty smooth for such a big beer
Overall a very big beer, not too sweet, good bitterness, and no alcohol burn.
