Bottle poured into a tulip glass.
A: A deep orange/brown with a nice head that is lingers. This beer is also creating some really nice lacing.
S: Floral and citrus hop smell is the only thing I can detect in the aroma. A smell I happen to like a lot, but not a very complex beer. It pretty much has me making the assumption the only flavor will be intense bittering hops.
T: There is an off flavor in this that is pretty strange and I am not sure how to describe it. The booze is definitely noticeable in the middle of the taste and the finish is extremely dry and bitter with floral hops.
M: This beer feels pretty average in my mouth and how I would expect the style to feel. It may feel a little thinner and watery than other Imperial IPA's I have had, but not bad.
O: This isn't one of my favorite Imperial IPA's I have ever had, but its not bad. The alcohol is definitely noticeable in the taste, which isn't a terrible thing, but it's not a great one either. The main flavor is extreme bitterness which I like but it's pretty one sided. A lot more complexity could be present and that much hop flavor could easily hide any flaws. An okay beer.
