2011 Vintage. Poured into a tulip.
Appearance. Pours a hazy copper color. A finger of tope white head quickly dissipates to a thin layer around the glass.
Smell. Huge hop profile. Grassy, slightly herbal hop aromas are complemented by a nice citrus aroma as well. Not much malt profile here, totally dominated by hops.
Taste. A very brief amount of sweetness is noticable as it first touches the palate, but this is quickly taken over by a brief burst of citrus, namely grapefruit. An extreme bitterness takes over and dominates the palate. The finish is just a continuation of the bitterness before, but is also slightly dry.
Mouthfeel. Nice medium to heavy body. Fairly low amount of carbonation, but its not really missed.
This is really an extremely hoppy beer when its fresh. Definitely in need of some age.
