Thanks to trapper2408 for including this in our recent trade as an extra.
Pours a murky deep orange that resembles a dark orange juice with extra pulp. Minimal head, leaves a very thing cap of white to top of this thick looking beer. Lacing looks to be really sticky.
Fruity, with some grapefruit, but the most overwhelming smell is a mixture of pine-soaked orange juice. No real detection of booze.
Hops jump to the top of your mouth in an almost burning sensation that starts at the back of your front teeth and scorched the rest of the palate in like some hop laced napalm. I don't detect any of the fruity nose that I picked up, a little bit of pine. I would venture a guess that this beer isn't super fresh because I am detecting none of the booze, and even Founder's would have trouble hiding 12 that well.
Mouthfeel is unlike anything I have ever felt before, and I am still trying to decide if I like this much hops or not....I do.
Drinks scaringly easy, and I would hate to see myself if I ever had the opportunity to buy a case of this.

Bottled 5/24/13 at 45 degrees into imperial pint
Aroma – very deep pine/hemlock aroma
Head large (6.5cm), frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing to a 2 mm layer
Body clear, more amber than orange
Flavor begins with a thick sweet piney taste, very resinous, no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate is medium, oily to syrupy, with a light bitter finish
I realize this beer is technically past its prime, but has aged well, becoming a very smooth flavorable ale. I’ll be buying more to cellar.
