Poured from a 12oz bottle into a stemmed tulip glass.
A: Deep copper and a touch hazy (chill haze) pouring to a single finger of head with low retention falling to a thin collar and bits of lacing.
S: Big malty nose, almost sticky, raisins. A big bouquet of spicy bittering hops; alcohol.
T: Massive sweet malt and heavy caramel. Tons of American bittering for a powerful pucker factor, but not enough to dry the finish out.
M: Big body and low carbonation; big, thick, syrupy.
O: This feels and drinks like a hoppy barleywine; not that that’s a bad thing…just saying! A tasty beer, showing what pushing the grain bill can do.
