12oz bottle poured into a tulip.
A - Pale orangeish goldenrod with about two fingers of sticky, airy foam. Head dissipates fast but leaves behind thick rings of lace.
S - Lush orange, mango, pineapple, and grapefruit. Huge aromas and very inviting.
T - Sweet malt backing with notes of fruit and toffee underlies a massive, delicious hop presence. Tropical fruits blend perfectly with lemon, orange, and grapefruit. Bitterness is assertive but not brash. Very good balance, with a finish a smidge drier than the start. Excellent.
M - Light-medium body with perky carbonation and a smooth, almost creamy texture.
D - It's a shame this only comes around once year, because it certainly merits a regular spot in the fridge. A must try for hopheads as well as the more casual APA drinker.
