Probably my last fresh hop ale of the season, and really looking forward to it. Bottled 4 October 2012, nice and fresh. Tasted 23 October 2012, reviewed from notes.
Pours clear golden yellow, bright and glowing. One finger of spongy white head, okay retention, fantastic lacing. Looks pretty darn good.
Smell is outstanding, and in the top tier of IPAs I've encountered. Huge juicy citrus and tropical fruit, more like oranges and pineapple, with grapefruit and pine on the back end. Wow. There are a few IPAs that I find just stunning, and this is one of them.
Mouthfeel is surprisingly light, and incredibly refreshing. Crisp, dry, and light on the palate in a way that few IPAs are. Really interesting, and really nice.
Taste is good, but it's hard to measure up to that smell. Mildly bitter, primarily pine here, a bit astringent. Finishes dry, bitter, and moderately persistent. Not bad, but after those amazing aromatic hops it's a bit of a let-down.
An excellent IPA, and probably the best fresh/wet hop one I've had. IMO, Surly Wet is the only one that even holds a candle to it in that regard.

Great to finally try this beer, poured into a standard pint glass a hazed light golden with a frothy one finger white head.Awesome aromas of you guessed it fresh citric and and piney hop with a touch of sweetish biscuit.Fresh hops jump on the palate, fresh grapefruit and lemon pith with underlying pine needle,a firm slightly sweet malt base is there as well keeping everything in tune.Man I love this brew its fresh hop taste is awesome,my fridge beer for the time being.

Pours a nice, golden-yellow color with a bit of haze. Small, white head that floats thinly across the top of the beer and leaves pretty good lacing along the side of the glass. The smell is hoppy as hell, but noticeably different from dry-hopped beers. This hop smell is more "pure" - more floral, weedy, and nature-esque. Slight citrus notes are present in the background.
The taste is spot on - fresh, wet, floral hops, heavy on the weeds. As I kept drinking, I kept thinking of a freshly cut lawn with morning dew all over it. The taste and smell of these hops are just so fresh, it's really something special. It's like taking a hop and just sucking on it. Some warmth in the background and just a touch of spice to keep things interesting. Lots of carbonation and a medium body with some slight stickiness.
This was my first wet-hopped beer and I was pleasantly surprised. The difference between dry and wet hops is quite noticeable. Both similar, yet very different tastes. I enjoyed how fresh and pure this beer tasted - definitely a treat. I would like to get my hands on some more of this beer.

A- pale golden with an inch of white head.
S- Wonderful nose. Flowery fresh hops, slightly sweet with a piney balance.
T- Similar to the nose. Clean citrus and floral hops, mandarin orange. Not overly complex but very tasty.
M- Medium bodied and(the only downside) somewhat filmy.
D- Easy to drink, well made APA.

Purchased from Discount Liquor in Milwaukee, WI. Pours a bright gold body with a white head. Aroma is dominated by piney and citrus hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Great hop flavor throughout which seems to "build" after the finish, much like the heat of a chili pepper. Very good drinkability.

12oz stubby bottle pours into my glass a quite hazy yellow orange with a couple inches of creamy, cragly white head that leaves sticky lacing on the side. Aromas of citric, tropical hop resins jump out of the glass. Peach and grapefruit mingle with some pine and green herbaceous notes. Sweet, light caramel in the background. Wow, the fresh green hop cone aroma brings a smile to my face! Somewhat floral even.
First sip brings a sweet, lightly toasted caramel malt that flows into a flow of fresh hops. Citric, slighty tropical with a big green, herbal push. The resins come through along with a perfumy, floral quality. Flows down with a bit of bitterness, but it's fairly mellow probably due to the fresh wet hops. Finish with a bit of lingering sweetness and green hop cone resin. Tasty.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a nice creaminess and solid carbonation. A sturdy pale ale that brings a wealth of flavor while at the same time being quite drinkable and refreshing. This is a darn tasty wet hopped brew and I'm glad to see this in bottles. Get on it and try this one while you can. Another solid brew from Founders.

I can see what the hype is about. An excellent beer.
In a pint glass it is a hazy orange-gold color. There is a medium-sized white head that leaves a little bit of lace.
Strong citrus aroma, very redolent. A bit of sweet caramel.
The taste perfectly mimics the aroma. A lot of citrus, mostly grapefruit, but also lemon and tangerine. A nice bready background.
Beautiful mouthfeel. Hoppy but not excessively so. Great balance.
Love it. Want to make this 4 pack last.

A - A pretty golden/straw with a white head and lace.
S - The nose is very fruity. There are hints of berries and pineapple. Underneath the fruitiness, there is also a really nice earthiness/floral aroma that rounds it out.
T - The fruitiness of berries and grapefruit continue in the taste. The bitterness closes out the sip and it is a nice counterpart to the initial sweetness. The bitterness is not overpowering and it does not linger very long, so every sip starts all over again.
M - This is a nice light bodied beer with a decent amount of carbonation.
O - The mild bitterness and sweet fruitiness make this beer pleasant to drink. The lighter body and lowish abv also make it a solid beer that I would enjoy drinking on any occasion.

A - Pours clear golden brown with one finger of white head. Head doesn't last long but leaves some nice lacing.
S - Big aroma of resinous pine hops up front, also quite grassy and some pineapple. Eventually some biscuit malts come through as well. Nice aroma.
T - Similar to smell there is a big pine hops taste up front, accompanied by some grass and some florals. Biscuit malt appears midway, while the hops continue throughout the taste, leading to a nice bitter finish.
M -- Medium oily mouthfeel. Finish is somewhat dry and bitter.
O - A very good wet hopped IPA. Hop component is substantial but not overwhelming. I look forward to a 4 pack of this each year.
