Review taken a week ago. It's been a few years since I've even seen this. Not only is it somewhat hard getting ahold here as its been a Ghost here at home for the last few years.

12 oz stubby stout style Founders bottle with a very Founders like label that's just beautiful. Beautiful shade of blue and yellow with the cartoon photo of hops perfectly placed. Very well done artwork. Simple and to the point. Poured into a standard Founders brand American pint glass.

A - yellow golden color that's has a touch of haze(if that's what you call it). Very beautiful color. Brilliant alpine white colored head doesn't have a ridiculous mass on the pour but still has some size to it. It forms a nice ring of lace leaving near ipa worthy stick all the way down.

S - gushing fruity aroma of orange, grapefruit, and pineapple all fresh. Pine hop notes follow in very nicely making a resinous hop fest in your nose. The malt is faint but the GREAT fruitiness in this aroma balances well in its place.

T - grapefruit and a kick of pineapple get this fantastic profile started followed by fresh orange and a punch of pine. Hop profile is super fresh and just leaves the palate feeling gushed with fruit freshness. Semi sweet malt does come in from the back but instantly gets pushed back to the smack of resinous pine hop finish. Overall very good. Citrus and pine resin. fresh hop character. Semi sweet malt. Wet hop finish.

M - very nice texture and extremely flavorful ipa. I found it to be very smooth for an ipa even without much malt character. Finish is gushing with hops and citrusy fruits as well as pine resin. A very tasty mouthfeel with a very good texture and thickness.

O - okay, I don't remember this being so hard to find a few years back.. So if you see this grab it! its that good.. But still, if you can get this when its released, do it! One of the best Fall time Harvest ales ever created and remains a brilliant all-star in Founders' star studded yearly lineup. This is an ipa a brewery should be proud of and clearly after tasting it you'll see why. Top notch Harvest IPA.

I was at a beer tasting and was talking about IPAs. A guy recommend I try this as a must. We searched the extensive cooler and inside the walk-in cooler behind the displays of beer was an open case with two 4 packs in it. I took it home. I poured in a stAndard pint Nice color with a generous white head. A nice citrus smell came to my nose. I took a taste. Awesome! A nice full bodied, hoppy, smooth bitter beer. Thank you stranger from the beer tasting. Go out and buy now!!

I can see what the hype is about. An excellent beer.

In a pint glass it is a hazy orange-gold color. There is a medium-sized white head that leaves a little bit of lace.

Strong citrus aroma, very redolent. A bit of sweet caramel.

The taste perfectly mimics the aroma. A lot of citrus, mostly grapefruit, but also lemon and tangerine. A nice bready background.

Beautiful mouthfeel. Hoppy but not excessively so. Great balance.

Love it. Want to make this 4 pack last.

Oh wet hopped beers how I love you. Harvest pours a crisp golden/orangish amber. Who knows, maybe we could get dinosaur DNA out of it. Small white head dissipates pretty quickly.

Juicy and fresh aroma. There's the caramel bubble gum behind it setting up a foundation on which the vegetal hops can rest. Some citrus, and a hint of perfum-y floral hops in there as well.

This is a very tasty beer. Juicy but not as juicy as I had hoped, tropical fruits, citrus, and then kind of a bready malt bottom.
Decent medium body, slightly round, good carbonation level. I love a good wet hopped beer (or dry hopped, or not hopped, or... well I just really love good beer), and this is a pretty good one. Given Founders pedigree and the style, I was hoping for a bit more, though. That's like saying Peyton Manning 'only' had 250 and two touchdowns, though. Ultimately the bottom line is this is a very good beer. Just because I was hoping for phenomenal should not take away from the truth of that.

A - Nothing special. This looks like a light beer with heavy carbonation and a thin, slightly foamy white head.

S - This beer has a very bright smell, clearly an IPA. I get smells of citrus, most notably orange, lemon and grapefruit.

T - Wow. A very strong flavor that is also very smooth. This is an awesome IPA. Not very bitter upfront but has a very delicious citrusy hop profile that fades into a slight citrusy bitterness but this beer never looses it's smoothness. This is a very drinkable IPA.

M - Perfect for the style. The head is slightly foamy and this beer has just a little chewiness to go with the heavy carbonation.

O - Solid IPA all around and one of the smoothest IPAs I've had in a long time. Great Job Founders! Grab a 4-pack if you can and give it a try.
