A: Slightly cloudy pale golden golden with some visible carbonation throughout and a small but persistent head.

S: Citrusy hops right up front.

T/M: Very nice, subdued citrus hops. Medium body.

O: This is a great fresh-hopped ale, it has a very crisp and refreshing taste and a nice, subtly hoppy style.

12oz bottle with "Bottled 09/30/11 10:37" stamped on the neck.

Pours a hazy orange-yellow color with one finger of white foam. Head has settled to a thin layer after several minutes, but there's some pretty nice lacing being left on the sides of my glass.

Smells rather fruity for a wet-hop ale. Mango, peach, pineapple, with a faint grassy aroma towards the end.

Citrus carries over into the taste as well. A good amount of hop bitterness towards the middle. It lingers, but it's not palate wrecking. Nice malt backbone right behind the bitterness. Finish is somewhat clean, yet there is definitely lingering flavors of fruit and fresh hops.

Really nice medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.

This is the best wet-hopped ale that I've had. I've had some other good ones, but this one sits on top thus far.

Morey's Bottom Line: I had this beer one other time, but it wasn't nearly this fresh. It was good, but this is excellent. I enjoy Sierra Nevada & Weyerbacher's offerings, but the fruity/citrus character of this one takes it to another level.

P: 12 fl oz bottle in to an imperial pint

A: SRM is golden yellow. Crystal clear. Head is white, 1 in., pillowy. Dissipates to 1 cm. head. Medium carbonation. Medium lacing.

S: Huge fresh hop notes. Citrus/grapefruit notes waft off the glass.

T: Medium/big hop taste. Super fresh, gives a touch of bitterness as it should. Extremely well balanced flavors. Citrus notes throughout.

M: Mf is extremely palateable. There is a "wetness" that sits on the palate. Slight bite from the hops excite the tastebuds. Light/medium body, light carbonation.

O: Nothing to fault here. Top shelf beer. One of the best harvest beers on the market and always a joy to drink.

poured from bottle into a pub glass. Poured kind of lazily, no head, with very little lacing. Poured a pale yellow with just a tinge of orange. Smell is of hops with a slight sweetness to it. The taste is very pleasant, nice and hop forward, with a slight citrus sweetness to it. Easy to drink, very easy, one of the more impressive qualities of this beer.
Overall, a very solid offering. Trying to compare it to Surly Wet due to a recent thread, but both beers stand apart on their own merit. will enjoy this beer several times in the next couple of days.

Bottled on date noticeable. 12oz bottle poured into a snifter. Pours a nice golden color with a slight haze, nice white foamy head and nice lacing. Great aromas! Lots of funky grapefruit, pine, and resin. The flavors don't quite match the nose, but they're still great. Very sticky! There's a smooth bitterness going on.. nothing over the top. I'm picking up more grapefruit, orange, and mango. Lots of citrus blended with a touch of caramel malts. There's a nice touch of sweetness going on as well. Right amount of carbonation, very smooth. This is an extremely easy drinking IPA.

This is a great wet-hopped ale, easily one of the better ones out there. Outstanding IPA from Founders.
