Poured from 12 oz bottle into snifter.

A: Pours a light golden yellow with smallish one finger off white head that disappeared fairly quickly. Some minimal spotty lacing.

S: Citrusy hops mostly grapefruit. Some earthy funk mixed with pine.

T: Juicy citrus flavors and big hops. Slightly bitter as expected, but crazy easy to drink. Alcohol is very well hidden, and beer is overall very well balanced. Just enough malt backbone to offset some of the hops.

M: Nice and light. I might have preferred just a bit more carbonation, and head retention.

O: Fantastic brew. One of the better IPA's that I've enjoyed lately. Really wish this one was available year round.

Appearance is a light copper with a finger of head that does not linger very long. The nose is a bright bouquet of citrus fruits, especially grapefruit. The grapefruit notes carry over into the flavor profile, which is bitter, but not overly so. The finish is dry and hoppy.

Thsi light bodied offering is not quite what I'd expect in a fall seasonal, but it is certainly very, very tasty.

Bottle courtesy of MMBrew.

A: Pours a hazy golden yellow with 1 finger of straw colored head dissipating to a mottled film and ring. Minimal lacing is left down the side of the glass. Continuous sparse bubbling of carbonation from the base of the glass.

S: Fresh earthy hop aromas, mostly grapefruit, but also pine and a slight dankness, and malt sweetness predominate. Malts smell slightly bready, like a pale ale.

T/M: A slight prickliness and malt sweetness lead into an array of hop characteristics -- citrus and pine mostly. Malt sweetness is slightly bready, but slightly heavier than that of a pale ale. Finish is clean and refreshing, with earthy and pine hop character and a lingering mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium with a perfect level of carbonation.

O: A really nice, refreshing, fresh, hoppy ale. This falls somewhere between a pale ale and an IPA for me, with an abundance of hops. The mouthfeel is great -- this is a very drinkable beer. Very little alcohol is detectable. Honestly, I'd like to compare this to Zombie Dust with a slightly heavier malt profile.
