appearance- I don't believe it was nitro but the light brown head lasted all the way to the end with lacing all the way. rich dark color.
smell- phenomenal. right away you get a great coffee smell with a darker...caramel molasses smell. mild hop aroma but still present. no boozy smell.
taste- smooth, creamy, hazelnut coffee with out the bad bitter aftertaste. dark, molasses and hops.
mouthfeel- smooth but not flat. crisp and effervescent.
drinkability- I look forward to frangelic every year. I would love this in a bomber because at 4.2% I could have one all to myself.
had this on nitro-tap last year and it was frangelic +10
Serving type: on-tap

12oz pour on 18 April 2014 at the Founder's Taproom in GR.
A: Pitch black, small creamy head. Almost no lacing.
S: Light aroma of hazelnut, complemented by a very subdued coffee and roasted malt note.
T: Hazelnut is prominent in the flavor, dominant really. Coffee flavors follow the hazelnut, with a nice stout maltiness. A very light hoppiness bitter at the finish.
M: Light with a very smooth, almost negligible carbonation. Felt watery.
O: One of the best stouts I've ever had, and the hazelnut flavor was amazing. Coffee, vanilla, chocolate, are all popular in stout, why not hazelnut. The aroma and flavor was a nice backdrop and makes this a very tasty and enjoyable beer. Not a session beer, but extraordinarily enjoyable nonetheless.
Serving type: nitro-tap
