Poured Imperial Stout into a Belgian Tulip.
A - The brew pours nice and thick and black as midnight. It has just about a finger of dark mocha head with a aggressive pour.
S - Dark roasted malts, bitter coffee. It has faint smell of Baker's chocolate.
T - On first taste getting heavy roasted malts, bitter coffee. Mid palate getting some smooth Baker's chocolate. On the aftertaste getting more alcohol than I would like.
M - Heavy mouthfeel, with medium to low carbonation.
O - I've been wanting to review this one for awhile now. I let it age for almost a year and the alcohol is still on the taste. Not a bad beer; however, there are many good Imperial Stouts out there that outshine this one. Cheers!
