look: 4.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

Appearance- Pours thick and pitch black with a small tan head that recedes quickly and leaves minimal lacing.

Smell- I get some vanilla and coffee with a background of milk chocolate and caramel. Very sweet smell, almost like French vanilla coffee with a bit of espresso in the back, very nice.

Taste-Can definitely taste the 90 IBU's. First sip is burnt toast and espresso. As it warms the bitterness subsides a little and gives way to notes of chocolate, licorice and some flavors of burnt caramel. I like the flavor but the bitterness and burnt toast take away from the other characteristics

Mouthfeel- Very full bodied and creamy. I like the mouthfeel but again the bitterness is quite drying on the back end.

Overall- Pretty good Imperial stout. Nice flavors, smell and body. I definitely recommend letting it warm up to help diminish some of the bitterness.

4 pack bottles bought from Woodmans NYE. Plan on putting a few in the cellar. Bottle 12/14/13

Appearance - Pours a jet black, thick beer

Smell- Rich, dark, bold, hint of chocolate... just as I like 'em

Taste - Sweet start with a bold balance of malt and hop bite. Finish is sweet again with hints of vanilla and chocolate. Layered tastes that come across smooth for such a big beer

Mouthfeel - has my mouth full and happy

Overall - Excellent beer for a cold night. Currently 10 degrees here and this is working quite well. Thanks Founders and Woodmans for making this possible. - Signing out

12oz. bottled 1/2/2013. Served in snifter.

A - Pours a pitch black with a thin reddish brown head. Nice amount of lacing.

S - Big roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate.

T - Just like the nose. Big bold roasted malt and coffee. Slightly smokey with some booze in the finish.

M - Full bodied with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Very smooth drinker.

O - Another great beer from Founder's. Full of big bold flavors. A very nice winter sipper.
