12 oz.

Pours a clear raspberry red, approaching a purplish hue, with a sugar white lacing for a head.

Smells of syrupy raspberry sweetness. Maybe a hint of malt under there.

Tastes of sweet raspberry with a tartness that balances it out. Pretty much exclusively the fruit flavor, which is fresh and only ever so slightly medicinal.

Medium body with lightly bubbly carbonation and a slight sour pucker.

Founders went all in on fruit flavoring with this one, so like most fruit beers and lambics that stress the fruit, this is probably a love-it-or-hate-it brew. For my money, this is the right way to do a fruit beer. I want to taste the fruit if I choose a fruit beer and I want it to taste like real fruit, not artificial. This one pretty much hits the spot, is fairly thirst-quenching, and manages to still feel somewhat like a beer all things considered. If that sounds like your cup of tea, er, beer, then this is one of the better ones you'll find.

A - pours amber / red / purple with a tiny wisp of cherry / white head.

S - Raspberries, sour apples, caramel.

T - Sweet raspberries, tart fruit, highly carbonated and has a mouth feel more like a soda.

O - Nice summer refreshing fruit beer, but could probably only have one as it is overly sweet and very one note.

Pours a very nice looking dark red color. Very little head and no lacing. Hard to tell its an alcoholic beverage by the appearance.

Aroma is very tart raspberry. Nothing artificial in the odor. Almost a syrupy scent, if that is even possible.

Taste is more of the aroma. Raspberries. Tartness. A little sour. The taste is very simply, but its well executed.

Light-bodied, pretty well carbonated.

Overall: Not a bad fruit beer. I'm gonna compare this one to New Glarus' offerings, which is probably unfair. But it is too one dimensional to compete with theirs. This beer does with it sets out to do, and I will give it that. But I wouldn't mind seeing a little more complexity.
