S-sweet, raspberry, slight tartness, little malt

O-decent fruit beer, but too sweet for me, wish it had a lot more tartness

Glad to see this beer make a return. Picked up a 4-pack a couple weeks ago, finishing it up now.
The beer is maroon colored with some clarity. A pink head starts at about a finger in size, falling to a thick ring and patchy cap, leaving some lace behind.
Nose is raspberries. Sweet, fruity and authentic with light tartness. Decent strength.
Taste is mostly fresh raspberries and that's it. Good mix of sweetness and tartness. Slight grassy and stemmy tastes hiding in there, and make this not so one-dimensional, but it's pretty much all about that fruit. Some lemon maybe in the finish.
Full-bodied with high carbonation that's just a bit spiky. Otherwise smooth and malty, drinks pretty easy.
It's simple yeah, but a very solid straight up fruit beer. Nice fresh taste, light and drinkable, good summer release. Pure raspberry ale.

On tap at the brew pub poured into a pint glass.
Appearance is dark red with a thin pink head.
Smells like raspberry juice very fruity and sweet.
Taste is strait raspberry little hops and malts, pure fruit taste
extremly drinkable slighty sweet with a small tart finish.
Mouth feel is balanced for a fruit beer.
The ulimate panty-dropper, tastes like juice. So many brewries use fruit extracts and other flavorings you can tell lots of real raspberries are used in this. All in all one of the better fruit beers i've had.

Pink head. Color is a dark raspberry purple/pink.
Flavor is dominated by raspberries. Very fruity. A little tart. Very fresh. Some malts show, but not a lot. No hops show. No alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Tart. Light bodied. Decent amount of carbonation. Very clean.
Overall, an enjoyable raspberry beer. Easy to drink. I wouldn't want more than a bottle however, because it is kind of sweet.

While getting salty at the Salty Pig in Boston, MA., Raul was diggin' this. Not far removed from his first dip into fruit beers with a beautiful trio from New Glarus, Raul thought Rüb was on pair with those three dandy of thangs.
Like Behati Prinsloo holding a raspberry, Raul wouldn't mind taking another bite. Roar!

Pours a clear, dark red color. 1/4 inch head of an off-pink color. Slight retention and good lacing. Smells of sugar, raspberry, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of grass. Fits the style of an Fruit / Vegetable beer. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sugar, raspberry, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of grass. Overall, too sweet, and lacking sharpness, but otherwise a good beer.

A: Fairly dark reddish-purple in color. Forms a slightly pink colored head. Little retention as it drops to just a faint surface coating fairly quickly. Little lacing.
S: Aroma is, unsurprisingly, berries. Raspberries and maybe some cherries. And a grassy note in there as well.
T: Taste is fairly one note. Raspberries. But, unfortunately, the sweetness has been fermented out and the only thing left is the essence of raspberry and there is little of that juicy sweetness that makes the fruit so appealing. There is a light tartness as well as the flavor of something that seems to fall somewhere between malt and grape juice.
M: On the lighter side of medium in body. Light tartness. Light sweetness. No bitterness. Lower carbonation.
O: This beer tastes as if the brewer fermented all of the sweetness of a NG Razz Tart. Now I can appreciate that this beer isn't supposed to be a Razz Tart knock-off, but, in the end, Razz Tart is the better beer by far. This beer offers up a nice raspberry flavor and a nice, light tartness, but it is also rather unidimensional and unexciting.

I've been reviewing a lot of fruit beers. Kind of embarrassing. Swear I only drink this many in the summer :)
A: Wow, wasn't expecting purple, yet here I sit with a purple beer. The body is the color of red wine. Basically looks like I accidentally put a bottle of pinot noire in the fridge and then poured it into a glass. And then there's the head: it's pinkish and originally about four fingers and rocky, but quickly dissipated into a half inch of soapy light pink to lavender.
S: Sweet/tart raspberry with a touch of grain. Raspberry dominates. Not much else to say.
T: Raspberry, hay, caramel malts, tartness (in that order). Again, raspberry dominates. This isn't an understated fruit beer. To me, this tastes like a lambic framoise. Not my cup of tea, but if that's what they were going for, they succeeded and I think a lot of people would like this.
M: Too sweet to be refreshing. Medium-bodied. I was expecting a hot summer day refresher, but what I got was dessert beer.

Appearance: Not much head, a nice purplely-red color, somewhat clear.
Smell: Very sweet, fruity, can pick up on the raspberries and a strawberry smell.
Taste: Sweet and raspberryish up front, then a little astringent, a little bitter on the way out. I'm also getting a little bit of caramel.
Mouthfeel: Tart/bubbly at the beginning, then smoother on the way out. Pretty nice mid-level of carbonation.
This is tasty, but it's so sweet and raspberry that it's overwhelming. It could be better balanced.
