My favorite aspect of this beer was the delightful light-ness of it, almost like a really carbonated cider. It was so beautiful and refreshing, I didn't expect anything less from Founders but I was skeptical of a fruit beer that was so vibrantly colored. But the raspberry-ness was sweet, crisp and light. So refreshing, I drank it outside on a very humid deck and I completely enjoyed myself.

I would definitely recommend this beer for people like me that don't ever drink them ever - it was really a surprising treat

12 oz bottle served in a Founders snifter. Bottled 7/2/2013.

A: Pours a solid, slightly hazy, garnet color with a thin white head forming on the pour. it recedes quickly to a thin ring that leaves some minimal splotches of lace down the glass.

S: Fresh squeezed raspberry with a slight, sugary syrup type of scent.

T: Raspberry, a slight citrus note. Sweet malt, a little bready, with a lingering raspberry syrup presence. A little tangy, raspberry jam presence as well giving it a nice bite.

M: Light bodied with a medium high carbonation. Jammy and sweet finish.

O: Thirst quenching, sweet and tart with a great freshness to it. Perfect beer to blend with a berliner or a light IPA. I'll have to try this soon.

A: It is a hazy brown color that has been tinged with a ruby color. The head was an off white lacing that disappeared quickly.

S: Very sweet and very potent berry in the nose.

T: This reminds me of the New Glarus fruited beers. Very sweet raspberry flavors with a touch of carameled grains.

M: It is very thick to point I kinda want to stop drinking it. The carbonation is lacking significantly. This could have been much better.

O: Definately not your everyday beer. Very sweet and fruity but is well done within that style. Worth mentioning in the same sentence as Rasberry Tart and Wisconsin Belgian Red although both those are indeed better.

12 oz bottle poured into a globe at fridge-cellar temperature.

L – Deep raspberry red color with a 1-finger bubbly, pink head. Decent retention with some spots of lacing. Clear with lots of bubbles.

S – Raspberries and bready, grainy malt. It reminds me a lot of Cerise except with raspberries.

T – Sweet nearly all the way through with lots of raspberries and some bready, grainy malt. Toward the finish, the raspberry flavor shifts to an earthier, bitter flavor, much like what happens with actual raspberries.

F – Light-to-medium-bodied, good carbonation, a sticky but crisp mouthfeel, and a bittersweet and very dry finish. Dry, bittersweet raspberry flavors linger for a while.

O – This is a nice fruit beer. It reminds me a lot of Cerise, of course with raspberries instead of cherries. I think this is better-crafted than Cerise with a stronger base beer and noticeably fresh fruit being used (rather than extracts). I still prefer fruit beers that are mostly beer with a touch of fruit rather than the other way around, but this tasty and drinkable one will do. Nice job from Founders.
