12oz. bottle poured into a snifter.
(A)- Pours a clear crimson red color. Produced a lovely pink frothy head that really stuck around for awhile. Some good lacing too.
(S)- A vibrant blast of juicy yet slightly tart raspberries meets a subtle sweetness behind it.
(T)- Again, a vibrant blast of juicy yet slightly tart raspberries meets a subtle sweetness. What is nice is on the finish with just a touch of a light citrusy dry hop character from what I can tell.
(M)- Crisp carbonation level and a smooth velvety mouthfeel overall. It does get a touch sweet as it warms, but the subtle tartness helps out alot in that sense. Not overly complex, but a refreshing fruit beer.
(O)- There is no mistaking this is a great fruit beer. Are there better ones? yes, but this is really good. This is like Blushing Monk's younger brother.

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.
Pours a clear red with a foamy reddish-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, raspberries, and raspberry juice aromas. Taste is much the same with lots of raspberry flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of seed-like earthy bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a solid raspberry presence but nothing too memorable for a fruit beer in my opinion.

Clear, dark ruby. Minimal head and very little carbonation. Not a lot of stick. An unexciting appearance, all things considered.
Great aroma, but this one really needed to come up to near room temperature to really express much. Very minimal aromas at colder temperature. At the warmer temperatures, huge, juicy raspberry character emerges with just a little bit of grain.
The flavor is very raspberry forward as well, with just a hint of grain and a very minor lactic acidic sharpness, though this is not at all sour. A great fruit beer flavor throughout.
Medium bodied with lower carbonation. Quite juicy.
Very nice fruit beer. I like this quite a lot. Would most certainly drink this again.

Beer review notes from 9/1/13: pours reddish pink color with a foamy 2 finger pink head that was full of bubbles and faded slowly, leaving decent lacing. Great color for a beer.
Smells of raspberry up front, followed by dark fruits, caramel, sweet malt and something sugary; very sweet overall and if you want/dig raspberries then you'll love this smell.
Tastes like it smells, with raspberry up front, followed by dark fruits like grape or strawberry, caramel, sweet malt, sugar, grains, 7-Up, citrus and the tart fruity bitterness like fermented fruit. It's a very sweet beer, but not so bad that it's offensive and while it may be too fruity for more than one in a session, the overall flavor is good.
Mouthfeel is light, with light carbonation, a tart and almost bitter finish that trails off sweet and fruity, overall it's a combo of raspberry and grains. This was good as a fruity beer, but not a session brew for me and one I'm glad I tried as it was good, but I may not seek it out. Good for the style.
