A: Pours an almost hazy pale yellow with a bubbly white head of foam. Very tiny pieces of sediment almost make this beer hazy. Not much complexity in the color and not much lacing throughout the experience, but a solid feature nonetheless.
S: A big citrus aroma that's made up a grapefruit and pineapple. Almost like a cross between Pliny the Elder and Hopslam. Very sweet malt balance the smell. Really good stuff here.
T: Grapefruit and sweet caramel and peppery malt hit the palette before leaving a dry, bitter, ever-so-slightly boozy taste. Flavor very well balanced for the abv, and the beer has a nice crisp taste.
M: The body is slightly on the heavy side. It's almost syrupy, but there's a definite chewy hop taste that coats the mouth. A medium carbonation that works. The nice hoppy chewiness pushes the feel to a 4.
O: This is the second Double Trouble I've had, and the first one was a better experience than this one I'm reviewing. So, I'd suggest drinking these within the first 30 days of bottling. That said, it's still very solid with 60 days on it. One of the best Imperial IPAs out there for sure.

served from bottle, slightly over a month old.
pours a hazy straw-yellow. small rocky head that dissipates and clings to side of glass.
smells of pungent hops, cannabis, pine, and tropical notes with citrus (this beer is brewed with Summit, Simcoe and Amarillo hops)
front of the tongue has a big wallop of bitterness that quickly transitions to a pungent, dank taste - the sort of typical Simcoe taste. follows with a nice sweetness, citrus and tropical notes, slightly sugary. really well balanced!
overall, this is a great DIPA. great representation of the style, and this brew is incredibly balanced between pungent bitterness and sweeter notes.
