$9.99 for a 32oz growler @aleyeah. Purchased 3/4/12, same day as tapped. Poured into a pint glass.
a- a deep and golden orange color with lots of little bubbles rising to the top. a little over 1/4" of white head with lacing that covers the top portion of the glass.
s- pungent, pungent hops that come at my nose like fumes. grapefruit, more citrus, slight caramel and very small amount of booze
t- that grapefruit and hops is present from the get-go. i feel some of the citrus all the way up my nose. very bitter and biting at first but mellows out to the caramel/sweetness from the malt. leaves a little aftertaste of spices and dryness on the tongue.
m- medium carbonation, not as thick as i remember from my review of the bottle version, but still a full bodied DIPA and still velvety. Alcohol presence is not detectable.
o- i paid roughly the same price for this 32oz growler as i did for a 4pack of 12 oz. The difference was 16 oz. Considering double trouble is long gone, i didn't mind at all. The beer was fresher and just as delicious as i remembered.

served from bottle, slightly over a month old.
pours a hazy straw-yellow. small rocky head that dissipates and clings to side of glass.
smells of pungent hops, cannabis, pine, and tropical notes with citrus (this beer is brewed with Summit, Simcoe and Amarillo hops)
front of the tongue has a big wallop of bitterness that quickly transitions to a pungent, dank taste - the sort of typical Simcoe taste. follows with a nice sweetness, citrus and tropical notes, slightly sugary. really well balanced!
overall, this is a great DIPA. great representation of the style, and this brew is incredibly balanced between pungent bitterness and sweeter notes.
