Thanks to russwbeck for the opportunity.
Poured into a snifter and allowed to warm. A murky amber brown with a thin caramel tan head. Aroma is nothing but bourbon, vanilla, oak, spice. No hint of malts or hops that I could tell. The taste is better. Blended sweetness on the tongue, still strongly bourbon but with more wee heavy present. A sweet but not cloying finish, thanks in part to a mild alcoholic drying feel. Overall the abv was not overwhelming present. Generally full body.
I'm not a bourbon person, so this was a miss for me. But it's a nice foray into malt-forward and -bal side of experimental brews as opposed to massive IPAs or sours.
