Took home a growler of this stuff last night after a visit to the brewery. I've had this beer before a lot, but never have reviewed it.
A- Pours a nice deep golden color with a 3/4 white head rising, then slowly falling. Moderate lacing is left on the glass.
S- Better smell than most APA's. I get hops and a little piney note, not so much citrus. There is some earthy spiciness that I can't identify.
T- Very balanced, but there is a nice hoppy element. I can taste some pine needles and grassiness, maybe a hint of oranges. The hops linger on your palate...mmmm.
M- Very good. If a beer is advertised as an ale, it's a good idea to have the mouthfeel of one. One of my biggest pet peeves is getting a watery "ale".
D- Oh yes, session beer to the definition.

Picked up a couple of singles from Total Wine at the end of April for $1.99 each. Bottled on 3/26/2014.
Beer poured orange with a nice white head upon the initial pour.
Nose is primarily malty with a hint of citrus.
Taste is pretty well balanced between the malts and citrus hops. The alpha hopping used wins out in the end and leave a nice citrus rind lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel is decently carbonated to provide a nice refreshing finish.
Overall an above average APA that provides what a pale ale is supposed to do - this is a nice refreshing bitter beer, kind of similar to some of the session IPA's available today.
