Had this on 2013-04-29 in Enola, PA at Al of Hampden's / Pizza Boy Brewing's grand opening in the new location.
A - Mostly clear gold with no head and mild lacing.
S - Citrus, hop floral, light bourbon, vanilla and medium-roasted malt. Not very strong.
T - Mmmmm. Much better than the smell. Rich Founders malt flavor; not as malty as Breakfast Stout but definitely leaning in that direction. Certainly more so than straight Double Trouble. Lots of citrus flesh and bitterness. Bourbon, vanilla, tannins. Very well-balanced.
M - Medium body and light carbonation. Resinous and prickly.
O - This beer surprised me. I was skeptical they could pull off a BBA IPA but they did it well.
Serving type: on-tap
