I poured this 12 oz. bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled 6-23-11.
A: cloudy light reddish amber color, the fizzy head quickly falls into a good, Belgian-style cap with good lacing.
S: a faint yeast aroma, cherries, subdued spice note. Overall not as fragrant as I had hoped.
T: over-ripe cherries, a faint nutmeg or clove-like spice, a funky, sweaty sort of barnyard like flavor. Was any wild yeast used to make this? Tastes like it to me.
M: medium-bodied, silky to oily texture, abundant carbonation with a mineral crispness in the finish.
O: kind of a disappointment, but not bad. I would not buy this again, though.
