Pours a crystal clear cherry honey colored body. Far brighter, clearer, and perhaps sparkling wine like than anything I can think of off the top of my head. A huge amount of carbonation, exploding from the bottom of the glass. A nice thin white head that's retaining itself well and leaving plenty of lacing.
Light alcohol esters, a touch sour, with cherry notes mixed in.
Far more intense than expected. This beer takes on much of the flavors expected in a wild, but it is backed with strong powerful malt. Tart cherry opening, followed by a strong caramel malt that adds a nearly buttery vanilla warmth. Then a lingering tart flavor is left.
Well carbonated yet and yet still rather thick in body. This is certainly not what I expected.
I really wasn't sure what to expected with this one. Fermented fruits can work well in beer, but often they come up short. This is far from a sour, but certainly a nice tart flavor. Highly recommend giving this one a shot.
