You’ll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness

A- Pours a light clear sherry colored body with some white foamy head.

S- Some really light sugared cherries, wheaty notes and some light plums.

T- Nothing too upfront, pretty balanced for a fruit beer, a pleasant summer beer with light cherry notes.

M- Moderate carbonation and smooth.

O- Not the best brew from Founders that I've had but pretty decent relative to all the other disaster fruit brews that I have tried.

LuvLuvLuv. Packs a sour pop at start with a big cherry finish and the slightest dash of sweetness to send it on it’s way. And dang does it smell good, there’s something going on there that makes me recall my flavor savor mustache daze…

Much better than rated. It’s carbonated alcoholic cherry juice. Like NyQuil but with a bit more flavor and less alcohol. Mouth feel is really good.

Pours with sudsy head that reduces to a respectable mm level. Decent lacing around glass after sips. Smell is pure michigan cherry; sour and earthy. Malt forward balances out the cherry and gives a spectacular mouthfeel. Overall, on par or better than their rubaeus (raspberry) offering.

Founders Cerise.. I'm not normally a fan of fruit beers, but I love Founders, and they do a great job on the raspberry in their Big Luscious, so I thought I would give this a shot. Appealing also, that it is infrequently produced, and sold only in Michigan. Pouring 12.oz can into a pint glass, a reddish amber glow emerges, with a white, slightly pink two finger head. The scent is exactly as advertised here.. tart cherries over a malt ale, sour and light cinnamon notes. The taste is sweeter than the smell.. apple notes offset the tart cherriness (the two fruits are closely related, botanically), and the whole concoction tastes as much a soda as a beer, although the 5.7% ABV will sully that perception if you drink enough of it. A slightly sticky mouthfeel adds to the soft drink aura. It's not my style, but it's not a bad beer either.

Pours a bright pink color with a short, white, fizzy head and minimal lacing.

The smell is slightly tart, slight sweet cherry.

The taste is tart and sweet cherry with a hint of cinnamon and spice.

The mouthfeel is medium body, light, refreshing, a bit fizzy.

Overall, this is really enjoyable. Great flavor. Almost like Rubeaus but with cherries. I'd love to mix this with FBS or KBS.

Dark copper to amber in color with a solid inch of densely packed creamy beige on top. The aroma is of tart cherries. I’m tasting tart and crisp cherries. The mouth is crisp and refreshing.
