Although this beer was amazing, I feel like it should be served with an umbrella and a pineapple wedge.

A- Pours a bright pink color with a fluffy just-off white head with a slight pink tinge to it.

S- Very pungent aroma of tropical fruit and cherry. Sweet, sweet, sweet with notes of black cherry, banana, papaya, and pear.

T- Similar to the aroma. Very sweet with tropical fruit notes. The dominant fruit notes are sweet cherry, banana, pear, and tart cherry. There's also some notes of papaya, guava, pineapple, graham cracker, and vanilla. The taste isn't as tart as I was expecting and probably could have used a little more tartness for balance, but definately a nice dessert beer.

M- Big and sticky with no noticeable alcohol at all.

D- Went down like a strawberry daiquiri.

Pours clear red with minimal head. Smell is prominent cherries, with nice bourbon notes of vanilla and oak. Also a faint sweetness in the aroma. A nice cherry tartness up front, followed by smooth vanilla and oaky bourbon notes. After the initial sips, a sweetness becomes more apparent and a little overwhelming over time. Mouthfeel is medium and somewhat sticky, thought the carbonation help brighten it and prevent it from feeling heavy. As with most fruit beers, one is enough and a smaller serving is preferable, but this is enjoyable and would make a nice dessert or night cap.

Taken--by me, by force, almost uncomfortably sexually--at Dark Lord Day. I never, ever would have guessed its ABV to be much higher than 4.0%.

Pours a reddish yellow. Not the bright, candied cherry of Wisconsin Red, but reasonably close to cherry puree.

Smells like cherries and vanilla, like some kind of goddamn wonderful smoothie with absolutely no hint of alcohol.

And... that vanilla taste was from bourbon aging? Hot damn! This is the least bourbony bourbon-aged beer I've ever had, though. Instead of imparting a burny whiskiness, as the process usually does, it instead adds a robustness to the cherry and vanilla melange, making it have the delicious punch of a jelly while maintaining the quaffable medium-body of a beer.

Had this on tap at Dark Lord Day 2011. It was a golden color with a little bit of a pink tinge and a surprising bourbon/vanilla/oak smell. I loved it because that lovely boozey bourbon takes center stage sandwiched between a genuine tart cherry beginning and end, but I can see that it wouldn't be for everyone. The body is also nice and sticky, giving the beer some real weight in the mouth. I would definitely seek this out again... a strong fruit beer that's not afraid to embrace alcohol!

Had on-tap during my first trip to founders...was one of my favorites from the trip.

A-Ruby colored...light to medium head...very nice looking.

S-Cherry smell all over the place while dancing with the scent of a nice bourbon...again..very nice.

T-First thing I got was cherry that progresses into the creaminess of the bourbon...then back to cherry...the two dominant flavors mesh quite well w/ one another. A nice sweetness to each other.

M-medium to medium high carbonation...a little dry.

D-high...I loved this beer while at founders b/c of the quality and taste...but also b/c of how unique it is...I had multiple pours and had I not wanted to sample other things would have had more.

A- Pours an odd reddish color with nice creamy head. Head has ok retention and leaves very little lacing.

S- Smells very sweet. I picked up the cherries right away and know I was in trouble. Also picked up a bit of booze and wood. Not a fan of cherries.

T- There it is the ultra sweet fake cherry taste that I hate. I can't really taste too much else here and not really picking up any booze at all.

M- Medium in body and carbonation.

D- I couldn't finish my glass. I'll pass on this one.
