bottle into Duvel glass
appearance: murky burnt orange with a ruby red tint to it, 1 finger white head
smell: very floral, getting heavy grapefruit and citrus, some clove and lemon, i can smell the malts as well
taste: very earthy bitterness that's rounded out by the malt bill, the citrus and grapefruit are a little more mellow than the nose would suggest. The finish is dry and smooth, very easy drinking.
mouthfeel: average carbonation, thick bodied feel
overall: A somewhat regular buy for me, while it's no Two-Hearted, this is one of the better IPAs from Michigan. More malts than your average IPA in my opinion, but it makes for a very smooth beer. Can't go wrong with any Founders really.
