on cask at Sheffield's in Chicago. pours a deep amber color with two fingers of slowly settling creamy tan head that has solid retention and leaves thick lacings.
aroma is of spicy and piney hops with a nice concentration and a solid and subtle malt base that doesn't take away from the hops. very well put together in the nose.
taste is more of the same with a solid character and a wonderful cask quality. a healthy hop presence is just rich enough to become the dominant note, while still allowing the malts to be present. nice.
mouthfeel is medium bodied and very smooth on the palate, along with a finish that has the same hop notes lingering after the fact.
drinkability is great. very easy drinking on the palate with a generous hop profile that is very sessionable. cheers!

A: burnt orange with a light tan head. Can't wait!
S: toffee and malt. Also piney hops!
T: toffee and burnt malt. Also some floral notes, dank hops, pine, and caramel.
M: a nice sudsy feel. Medium and buttery.
O: not what I was expecting in a good way. It drinks like an English pale which is awesome. I like the malty touch.
