Bottle dated 5/24/11 poured into a pint glass.
A - Pours a slightly hazy orange/amber body with about a 1-finger cream colored head. Decent head retention and insignificant lacing.
S - I'm getting more pale and crystal malts in the nose than hops. Not what I expected, but it still smells very inviting. Light notes of caramel. Citrus and floral hop notes of orange peel, grapefruit, and some pine.
T - On the front end is a crisp, moderate bitterness with a mouthful of citrusy hops - grapefruit and some pineapple. A biscuity malt backbone balances nicely with the hops. Nearly all of the bitterness is gone by the finish and you're left with a slightly dry sweetness. Alcohol is well hidden.
M - The body feels a little on the light side. Mild carbonation.
O - Overall, it's a solid offering from Founders that's a year-round stand by for me. It's a pretty easy drinker and it's priced fairly for a 6-pack.
