A: burnished hazy copper. soft pearl head that lasts a short while.
S: Pretty hoppy, smells like mango and apples lost in a sea of hops.
T: A dominant bite of citrus are the first notes that hit the palate. curants and nectarine along with apple and mango notes make up the depth of the hop arrangement. Malt exists as a lingering flavor companion, but only as an aftertaste. It also has a hint of red pepper, like the red pepper from a pizza store, on a scicilian slice.
D: Not heavy, but bitter, like an ipa should be. This is a fine, albeit a little overtly hoppy, example of the style. Drinks like a double IPA, but thats the new domestic trend.
O: This is one of my first beer from founders, and if they keep it up, they could be a top guy in my book. This IPA is a mid level beer in terms of complexity, but not so much as to be a turn off to newer drinkers to the style.
