12oz bottled dated 11/21/11.

A: Pours a dark orange, amber color. One finger white frothy head. Excellent lacing retention that sticks to the side of the glass.

S: The hops overpower the senses as soon as the bottle is popped.

T: Very flowery taste upfront with an excellent bitter finish.

M: Medium body with a dry, bitter finish.

O: One of my favorite IPA's when fresh.

was looking for a malt backed ipa and saw a few comments about trying this one so p/u'd a six...

drank from bottle? aroma was some light hops and caramel, maybe a little grapefruit.

this was exactly what i expected, almost. have only had hop forward fruity ipa's up until this point and was hoping this would offer something unique.

it was smooth and malty but didnt separate itself into something better than average. could drink again but im not gonna hunt it down.

On tap at Milltown in Carrboro. gotta love Milltown!

Beer pours bright yellow and is topped by a light once inch head.

Smell is loaded with centennial hops. I mean what else did you really think? Its called Centennial IPA. Smell is loaded with aroma, but a nice dose of bitter as well. Hops are balanced in the nose at least.

I love the taste, but I cant give it a perfect since Ive already had Bell's Two-Hearted. The Centennial hops are everywhere. The hops totally dominate the flavor, but I dont mind. Citric hops are exploding everywhere. Ripe lemon and citrous fruits dominate the tongue, and I like it. Malt bill is really lost in the background, and thats ok.

poured from a bottle...

pours a golden hazy brown...translucent...beautiful actually...

smells of semi-ripe citrus fruits...orange, sweet lemon, and mango...

full mouth of IPA gooodness...this is one of those "goto" IPAs that u constantly keep in yer fridge...

This is a banner IPA for the beergeek masses...IPAs are my fav style...this one is great to intersperse this time of year with Celebration, Two Hearted, Crooked Tree, and of course the new and unbelievable beer Lagunitas Sucks as well as the best value in craft beer...Hop Stoopid...
